The Department Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) made an initial announcement discussing plans for distribution of federal CARES Act funds to units of local government around the State of Illinois. The State has named these distribution efforts the Local “Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency” (CURE) Program, which is intended (per federal guidelines) to reimburse local governments for COVID-related expenditures.
