Welcome to the Rockton Township Assessor’s Office!
Your Assessor is Dana Adams and your Deputy Assessor is January Fry. The Assessor’s Office is responsible for valuing all real property within Rockton Township in a just and equitable manner. We also offer assistance with assessment questions, provide assessment records, and answer questions about property information.
INFORMATION ON PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS:
Real property in Rockton Township is assessed at 33 1/3 percent of its fair market value. There are numerous factors involved in valuing property.
We plan to create a FAQs section to help with common questions we receive regarding property valuation. In the meantime, we encourage you Contact Us and we will be happy to address your inquiry. COMMONLY REQUESTED EXEMPTION FORMS:
There are a number of exemptions available for property owners in Rockton Township. The most common exemptions are the general homestead exemption and the senior citizen exemption. Both forms are linked below.

PROPERTY ASSESSMENT APPEALS:
If you would like to appeal your property assessment, we encourage you to reach out to us via phone or email prior to filing an appeal. We want to ensure fair and equitable assessments throughout the Township, and we’d be happy to go over your concerns in case there is information we haven’t been made aware of regarding your property. However, if your property information is accurate and you still feel you are incorrectly assessed after our discussion, you can find information regarding the appeal process, forms, and filing deadlines here:
Winnebago County Board of Review
Appeals must be filed within 30 calendar days of the assessment publication date. Assessments are typically published toward the end of July, though dates can change. Please keep an eye on the

INFORMATION REGARDING PROPERTY TAXES:
We do not determine the tax rate, issue tax bills, or collect taxes.

PROPERTY LINES:
We often receive questions regarding property lines. If you need to know exactly where your property lines are, or if you are in a property line dispute, we recommend that you reach out to a property surveyor for assistance.
