Under Old Business, Supervisor Cann reported there was nothing to cover.
Under New Business, there was nothing to discuss.
Assessor Latham reported that it was brought to her attention that the Peotone Township phone number is not listed in the Village of Peotone phone book. Supervisor Cann agreed to bring that to the Village’s attention to correct in future years. Assessor Latham will be attending a training class in Lisle this summer to fulfill her requirement of 60 hours. It will cost around $340.00. Assessor Latham also reported that this year’s tax multiplier for Peotone is 1.02.
Road Commissioner Hack reported receiving a handwritten note stating that some road signs are faded, hard to read or bent on some township roads that were listed. The note was not signed so Road Commissioner Hack was unable to follow-up with that person. He did investigate all signage and found that all of the Peotone Township’s signs were in good order. He did find several issues as noted but those belong to Will County for repair and will be brought to their attention. He also reported that all new hot patch repairs have been completed as of last week. Two new culverts need to be installed and tar & chipping starts next week. He also reported that the price of oil is down for this year so that may allow an additional road to be tar & chipped this year, i.e. it will be moved up from next year’s plan.
Being no other reports or comments from the Board, a motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Swartz and seconded by Trustee Schubbe at 7:50 P.M. The motion was unanimously accepted.
