August 16, 2021 Meeting Notes
Peotone Township Regular Meeting
Supervisor Younker called the January meeting of Peotone Township to order at 7:00 P.M. on August 16, 2021
Trustee Swartz led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Roll Call indicated all were present except Trustee Morgan and Assessor Latham
The minutes of the July 19, 2021 meeting were presented. A motion to accept the minutes as presented was made by Trustee Swartz and was seconded by Trustee Heatherwick. On a roll call vote, the following members voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously.
Visitor in attendance, Virginia Hamann.
The Town Fund Budget Report was submitted. A motion to accept was made by Trustee Heatherwick and seconded by Trustee Schubbe. On a roll call vote, the following members voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously.
The Road District Funds Budget Report was submitted. A motion to accept was made by Trustee Schubbe and seconded by Trustee Swartz. On a roll call vote, the following members voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously.
The Financial Summary Report was submitted. A motion to accept was made by Trustee Swartz and seconded by Trustee Schubbe. On a roll call vote, the following members voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously..
The Town Fund bills were then submitted. A motion to pay these bills was made by Trustee Swartz and seconded by Trustee Heatherwick. On a roll call vote, the following members voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously.
The Road & Bridge, Hard Road and Equipment Funds bills were then submitted. A motion to pay these bills was made by Trustee Heatherwick and seconded by Trustee Schubbe. On a roll call vote, the following voted “yes”: Schubbe, Swartz, Heatherwick and Younker. Motion carried unanimously.
Under Additions to the Agenda; there were none.
Under Planning & Zoning, there was no business.
The following correspondence was received:
- Letter from Village of Peotone and American Legion inviting us to participate in the upcoming blood drive.
- Will County Center for Community Concerns Annual Report.
- TOI email concerning Governor Pritzker’s recent Executive Order.
- GW & Associates Final Audit Report.
- Several emails from resident Dave Gramberg concerning about truck traffic dangers in Peotone Twp. that he sent formal complaint to State of Illinois.
Under Old Business, GW & Associates report on audit status was reviewed. Supervisor Younker updated us on his meeting with Cheri Cameron concerning the records destruction.
Under New Business, Supervisor Younker has contacted the Will County Executive’s Office about getting official township stationary printed for us to use.
No assessor’s report.
Road Commissioner Hack reported that all tar and chip was done. He has post for bids on blacktopping County Line Road.
Being no other reports or comments from the Board, a motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Swartz and seconded by Trustee Heatherwick at 7:30 P.M. The motion was unanimously accepted.
