Richwoods Township and Pearl Technology Partner to Implement STEM Academy

Richwoods Township, through a valuable partnership with Pearl Technology, accomplished the first-even STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Academy, the week of June 20-24, 2016.  A full program description and evaluation may be found on the "Downloads" section.

Rebuilding Together 2016

Richwoods Township continued its commitment to assessing and addressing the needs of the Citizens of Richwoods through its partnership with Rebuilding Together.  "Rebuilding Together" is a non-profit, Volunteer-driven organization which assists in rehabilitating the homes of elderly and low-income Citizens.  This year differed in that the Township was solely responsible for the upgrades to the house located in Peoria Heights.  Many Saturdays, in April and May, were dedicated to outdoor landscaping work, indoor preparation and painting of the entire house and installation of a new water heater. A project of this magnitude was accomplished because of: 1) Township Leadership commitment, 2) Volunteer Support, including the Peoria Heights High School Key Club, Peoria County Staff and other Township Staff, 3), Support of the local Business Community.
