The Town Clerk is responsible for the following:
Taking minutes of all open and closed (Executive Session) meetings of the Board of Trustees;
Preparing agendas, securing tape recordings of closed meetings, and performing accounting duties;
Executing all documents required by law and affixing the Township Clerk's seal to those documents when required.
Annual Town Meeting & Annual Town Meeting of the Board of Town Trustees
The Board of Town Trustees holds an Annual Town Meeting and an Annual Town Meeting of the Board of Town Trustees on the second Tuesday in April each year except when the date falls during Passover. They may also meet in joint session (Town Board of Trustees and City Council) any day the Peoria City Council regularly meets (usually the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month). Proper notice is provided when a Joint Meeting is held.
Freedom of Information Request Contact
The Town Clerk is the contact person for any Freedom of Information (FOIA) Requests made by citizens. To submit an FOIA request for records, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or send a written letter listing the following information:
- Requester's name, email address or mailing address (including zip code);
- List of records being requested to receive or inspect; and,
- Start and end date for which records are being sought.

Replies will be sent within five (5) business days in most cases. A five (5) day extension may be requested under certain circumstances. Copy costs are 10 cents a page after the first fifty (50) pages. The first fifty (50) pages are free.
