Gridley St., Suite B, Bloomington, IL  61701; 2.) emailed to traceycovert@cityblm.org or cdavis@cityblm.org; or 3.) faxed to 309/827 - 3667.  Business hours Monday through Thursday are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Records may be inspected, copied or provided electronically.  If inspected, an employee must be present throughout the inspection.

General Township FOIA Information

The Town of the City of Bloomington a/k/a City of Bloomington Township was established in 1831 and incorporated in 1912.  The Township is a non-home rule unit of local government.  The Township is incorporated and organized under the laws of the State of Illinois for the purpose of providing its residents with the following services: 1.) General Assistance; 2.) Property Assessment and 3.) Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, (component unit).

Township Board

The Township Board meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 109 E. Olive St., Bloomington, IL  61701.  Board membership consists of ten Trustees and appointed Township Clerk.

Boards and Commissions

There is a single board/commission.  The Cemetery Board meetings are held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 302 E. Miller St., Bloomington, IL  61701.  Meeting are held on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m.  This is a three member board.
