Senior Citizens
ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZENS: The 2023 Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption is available to all resident homeowners age 65 and above who had gross household income from ALL sources of $65,000 or less in 2022. For your convenience, we have arranged for the County Supervisor of Assessments office staff to help you complete and file the form at the Long Creek Township Office from 9:00 a.m. - Noon on Thursday, April 13th. If you have any questions please contact the Macon County Supervisor of Assessments Office at 217-424-1364.
LONG CREEK TOWNSHIP SENIOR CITIZENS MONTHLY LUNCHEON MEETS 2ND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH AT NOON. LONG CREEK TOWNSHIP 2610 SALEM SCHOOL ROAD. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER. BRING A COVERED DISH TO SHARE AND TABLE SERVICE. DRINKS, PLATES, AND MEAT ARE FURNISHED.
Each month there is a different program, either a speaker or entertainment. The next luncheon will be held on March 9, 2023. The speaker will be from The Salvation Army. Please see the "Speaker Information" link at the bottom of this page for a listing of all speakers at our luncheons for the upcoming year.
The Township also has a dedicated room for the Seniors to use during normal business hours. If you would want to meet to play cards, quilt, sew or just visit, please contact Town Clerk Smith to make arrangements.
