Register to Vote Online- Last Day March 19
*However, Grace Period Registration and Voting extends the registration period by allowing voters to register and vote until the Monday before an election. Voters must register and vote in person at an Early Voting Site of their choice (see Early Voting Info below).
Individuals wishing to vote during this grace period must bring:
two pieces of identification to register, one with a current address.
*Grace period registrants must immediately cast their ballot after registering to vote*
*Election Day Registration is available, but only at the voter’s specific Precinct Polling Place in their neighborhood.
Early Voting- March 20- April 3
PLEASE NOTE THE PALATINE EARLY VOTING SITE LOCATION remains at > 150 W. Wilson Street.
*This building most recently served as the temporary Village Hall for the Village of Palatine*
-Government-issued photo ID is not required but is helpful if there is a question about the voter's registration, address or signature. Providing an ID can also speed up the process because of the ID card readers.
Vote By Mail- Last Day to Apply for a Mail Ballot- March 30
Last Day for Mail Ballots to be Postmarked- April 4
To complete an online mail ballot application, go to
mailvoting.cookcountyclerkil.gov. You will need:
- your driver’s license or state identification number or the last
four digits of your Social Security Number
- the address where you would like your ballot mailed; and
- an email address
*Once you have applied, received and completed your ballot, you will have the option of mailing it back or using a SECURE DROP BOX (Drop Box locations not yet published at time of printing)

Voter Registration (New Online Option) Registering to vote has never been simpler. You can register online, in person, or you can download registration forms and register through the mail. To register in person, voter registration is available at the Township Office during regular business hours. To register in person, you must show two forms of identification, one of which reflects your current address, be a citizen of the United States, and be 18 years of age or older by the next Election Day. The deadline for registering to vote is approximately one month prior to each election.
