Open in Palatine Township
Property-tax-appeals for the 2023 tax year are open now through Monday, August 21st at Noon in Palatine Township and residents of the Township can contact the Palatine Township Assessor’s office or Cook County to file an appeal on their home.
There are two ways you can file an appeal at our office or you can file directly with Cook County. We have forms outside our front door as well as in our office that you can fill out or you can apply by email and, in either case, we will file the appeal for you. If you prefer you can file your appeal directly with the Cook County Assessor.
- You can get a form from a box by the front door of the office or from the front desk inside the Township office. Fill out the yellow highlighted area and either return the form to the front desk in the office or deposit it into the box outside the front door.
- You can also send an email to appeals@palatinetownship-il.gov with your name, address, phone number, PIN number, if you know it, as well as your email address.
- Finally, you can apply directly with the Cook County Assessor at cookcountyassessor.com/online-appeals.
The Township assessor’s office is here to help you make sure you are only paying your fair share of the property tax.
