Berwyn Township and PAV YMCA are delighted to present “OPENING DOORS” A Senior and Disabled Resource Expo Thursday, June 6, 2019. This event will be located at the PAV YMCA, 2947 S. Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, between 10:00am and 2:00pm and is open to the public. Residents will be offered extensive resources concerning the many challenges seniors, disabled individuals, and families face on a daily basis. “We are bringing these resources together in an effort to educate, inform and enhance the lives of our residents” stated Elizabeth A. Pechous, Berwyn Township Supervisor. Exhibitors will be accessible to answer questions and inform residents about resources available for Seniors and those affected by disabilities.
Representatives from Federal, State and Local government will provide information along with over 50 exhibitors providing access to resources in Medical Care, In-Home Care, Mental Health Assistance, Rehabilitative services, Family resources, Transportation, Medical equipment, Recreation, Behavioral specialists, Advocacy and Legal services.
Please join us in learning about resources to help our Seniors, families, individuals and caretakers who are affected by disabilities. “Everyone should be aware of the services for senior and disabled individuals, as one never knows when a disability may occur,” Pechous stressed. Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 6 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and join us for what we believe will be a very informative day. We look forward to seeing you there!
