The Carbondale Township Highway maintains approximately 35miles of roads surrounding the City of Carbondale.  The Township Road District is a separate government, neither the Township Board of Trustees nor the Supervisor has jurisdiction over the Highway Commissioner or the road district's employees.  The Highway Department has two full time employees plus the Highway Commissioner.  The Highway Department strives to provide the citizens of Carbondale Township the best services possible.
