Topics Day Information
Those who plan to attend the 36th Annual Township Topics Day in Springfield on April 25, 2018. The event will begin at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in the Ballroom located on the Lobby Level at 701 East Adams Street. Registration will be from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch being served. We are honored to have Senator Bill Brady, Illinois State Senate Republican Leader and Senator of the 44th District as our speaker. TOI Consultant Taylor Anderson will give some insight on various bills of interest to Townships.
In the afternoon you will meet with your Legislators; so, prior to that day call and make an appointment to speak to your Legislators. The day will end with an Evening Reception at the Illinois State Library located at 300 S. 2nd Street, directly east of the Capitol Building. (Please use the north door and you will need to wear your name badge to attend.)
There are a number of Legislative events taking placing in Springfield on Wednesday. Therefore, parking at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel will be very tight. Please arrive early to increase your chance of getting a parking space in the parking garage at the President Lincoln Hotel. You must enter the parking garage off 7th street between Washington Street and Adams Street.
If the parking garage is full, you may park at the parking garage next to the Wyndham City Center, between Adams Street and Monroe Street. Exit onto 7th Street and head South to enter the garage on the left.
Parking garage fees must be paid at the garage and cannot be combined with hotel fees.

Lincoln Library – Capitol Avenue between 7th & 9th Streets
County Parking Lot – at 9th and Adams Streets
