We are pleased to announce the next TOI Q/A Day Program utilizing Zoom on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

TOI organized this new online program. Once monthly, we will post a FREE Zoom log-in link on the TOI website the day before each scheduled event. A topic is preselected to start the conversation. A moderator from the association and an attorney will be on hand to manage the topic and questions from participants. The program is limited to 60 minutes This program is free to all users.

Due to an increase in the number of questions and concern by township officials, we will discuss the recent SB 3789 / Public Act 102-1088 approval by Governor Pritzker mandating that townships provide a study every 10 years (first report due in 2023) on governing statutes, ordinances, rules, procedures, powers, jurisdiction, shared services, intergovernmental agreements and other working relationships with other units of local government.  We continue to work out the details regarding the legislative intent and hope to have guidelines issued later this year for all township to follow.   We will also have an open question and answer period for any questions related to township government.
