The Township Highway Commissioners of Illinois' main purpose is to educate and keep  Highway Commissioners informed of any new legislation or rules that affect their job.  Our association has two main educational seminars during the year:  our Summer Seminar and the TOI Fall Conference.  

We've had a Summer Seminar for the past 25 years and will return to the Pere Marquette Hotel/Civic Center this summer in Peoria, August 3-5.  It is one of the largest Township events held in the state.  We offer numerous satellite sessions, from sealcoating to budgeting.  We, also have vendors bringing in equipment and  products targeted towards Highway Commissioners.

The TOI Fall Conference offers another event to learn, network, and socialize with Commissioners, as well as other division members

Besides TOI, there are also four other associations that work with us and for Highway Commissioners:  Northern Illinois Township Highway Commissioners Association, East Central Illinois Township Highway Commissioners Association, West Central Illinois Township Highway Commissioners Association, and North West Illinois Highway Commissioners Association.  These divisions hold their own seminars throughout the year.
