Sealed bids will be received by: Garfield Road District, c/o James Olson, supervisor, 301 N. Liberty St., PO Box 27, Gardner IL 60424-0027 until July 16, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. and publicly opened and read for the following equipment:

1990 GMC TopKick, 3116 Cat. Diesel engine, with 35,933 miles, 2099 hours, Allison Automatic Transmission.  Truck Sale includes 11 ft. Lawton 2 Way Plow, plus Salt Spreader. Can be seen by contacting Highway Commissioner Dean Christensen at 815/343-2367.  Truck will be sold in as-is condition with no warranty.   Garfield Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.

Sealed bids will be received by the Petty Township Board and Road Commissioner at the Office of the Township Supervisor, 584 Lincoln Lane, Sumner, IL  62466.  Please note all bids must be postmarked and received at the above address by July 30, 2013, no later than 4:00 p.m.  These bids will be publicly opened and read at the regular scheduled Township Meeting on that day starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Township Hall located at 4309 Township Lane, Sumner, IL  62466.

The bids will be for the following equipment:

  • 1985 International S1900 tandem dump truck, 466 diesel engine, Allison Auto Trans with 144,576 miles;
  • 1980 GMC dump truck, 366 gas engine, 5-speed manual trans, good tires, with 48,000 miles;
  • 1992 John Deere 5400 tractor, 60 horsepower, 3 cycle with 2155 hours; and,
  • 1977 Caterpillar 120G motor grader 3304, 4 cycle engine, new longblock motor, and new belts, starter, ring gear, alternator, turbo, heater core, hoses.

The equipment may be seen at the Petty Township Highway garage on Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.   Please call in advance at (618) 562-2786 or (618) 947-2786 or (618) 554-2958.  The bidder must determine the condition of the equipment. The proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and endorsed as follows:

  • Equipment Sale Bid – 1985 International;
  • Equipment Sale Bid – 1980 GMC;
  • Equipment Sale Bid – 1992 John Deere; or,
  • Equipment Sale Bid – 1977 Caterpillar.

The right is reserved to reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities.
