IN 1990 WE HAD 42.03 MILES OF ROAD. CURRENTLY WE HAVE 56.12 MILES, THE 3RD MOST MILES IN
MCHENRY COUNTY. WITH THE SUBDIVSIONS ON THE BOOKS THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY
MCHENRY COUNTY, WE WILL ADD 12.19 MILES, THAT WILL BRING US TO A TOTAL OF 68.31 MILES.
IN 1990 OUR BUDGET FOR ROAD USE WAS  $105,00.00, IN 2007 OUR BUDGET FOR ROAD USE WAS
$160,000.00. THAT IS AN INCREASE OF $55,000.00 IN 17 YEARS OR AN INCREASE OF 3235.00 A YEAR.
IN 1990 THAT FIGURED OUT TO $2500.00 PER MILE, IN 2007 THAT FIGURED OUT TO $2850.00 PER MILE. 
PAVING COSTS
IN 1990 IT COST $30,000.00 TO PAVE ONE MILE OF ROAD, IN 2008 IT WILL COST $80,000.00 PER MILE.
THAT IS AN INCREASE OF$50,000.00 TO PAVE ONE MILE OF ROAD.
OTHER COSTS
IN 1990 SALT COST $19.00 PER TON, IN 2007 IT COST $41.00 PER TON.
IN 1990 WE USED APPROX. 400 TONS OF SALT. IN 2007 WE HAVE USED APPROX. 900 TONS.
THAT IS AN INCREASE OF APPROX. $29,000.00.
WE HAVE 523 SIGNS IN OUR SYSTEM THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY SEVEN YEARS PER IDOT
SPECS. ESTIMATED COST FOR SIGNS NOT INCLUDING POSTS TO BECOME COMPLIANT IS $30,000.00.
COST FOR POSTS IS ANOTHER $20,000.00. ONCE WE BECOME COMPLIANT 75 SIGNS SHOULD BE 
REPLACED  EVERY YEAR TO STAY COMPLIANT AT A COST OF $7000.00. THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE 
STOLEN, BROKEN OR DEFACED SIGNS AND POSTS.
ANOTHER COST THAT HAS INCREASED IS STREET LIGHTING. WE NOW PAY $7200.00 PER YEAR.
3 MOWINGS OF ROADS PER YEAR WHICH INCLUDES THREE TRACTORS, MOWERS, FUEL AND LABOR
COSTS $20,000.00.
SPRING CLEAN UP INCLUDES DUMPSTER, LABOR AND CEMETARY CLEAN UP IS $4000.00
TO MOW CEMETARY FOR YEAR COSTS $1300.00.
FOR FIVE TRUCKS TO MAKE ONE ROUND PLOWING SNOW COSTS $1000.00. THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE
THE PRICE OF THE SALT.
WE SPENT $10,000.00 ON GRAVEL IN 2007 TO REPAIR AND SHOULDER ROADS. 
THESE COSTS DOES NOT INCLUDE MISC. ITEMS SUCH AS HEAT, LEGAL FEES, ENGINEERING FEES,
GARBAGE SERVICE, ETC, MAINTENCE OF BUILDING, ETC.
